Baltimore 'Homers' Boston

The Boston Red Sox traveled to Fort Lauderdale to play a Spring Training game with the Baltimore Orioles. This was a back-and-forth game with Orioles ultimately victorious. The Red Sox did start the scoring with two runs in the top of the first inning and the Orioles ended the scoring with one run (homerun) in the bottom of the ninth inning. In between the first and last runs of the game, Boston scored additional runs in the top of the fifth (one), sixth (three), and ninth (two) inning. Baltimore kept pace with runs in the bottom of the second (two), fourth, fifth, and sixth (single runs in each), seventh (two), and eighth (one) innings. With the help of six homeruns, the Orioles won the game by a score of nine to eight.

Orioles Over Sox

The Red Sox traveled to Fort Lauderdale to play the Baltimore Orioles. The Orioles struck first with a run in the bottom of the third inning. That run was answered in the top of the fourth when the Sox scored their first run. However, Baltimore came back in the bottom of the fourth inning to put up two more runs. Boston tied the game when two runs were scored in the top of the seventh. The final blow was the two runs scored by the Orioles in the bottom of the eigthth. Boston was unable to get runs across the plate in the top of the ninth, so Baltimore won the game five to three.
