My Comments: No sweep for Boston in this World Series, disappointing but as long as there is a championship for the Red Sox at the end, I'll be happy. Another homerun for David Ortiz - how many will he have in the series? Now it is off to St. Louis for Boston and let's get a "mini-series" sweep!

ST. LOUIS: Starting Pitcher: Micahel Wacha; Winning Pitcher: Michael Wacha

My Comment: One down and three to go! Looking for another sweep of the Cardinals in this World Series. Glad the Red Sos offense was great in combination with the poor defense of the Cardinals. Opposing teams have had an unusually hard time in Fenway Park in the postseason. Whatever helps Boston to another championship works for me!

My Comment: Great win by Boston thanks to Papi and Salty. Love the dramatics, what a team! Keep the spirits up in Detroit on Tuesday guys. It's okay if you sweep the Tigers at Comerica Park - no one will be mad that you didn't win the ALCS at home. Have an excellent road trip!

My Comment: The Red Sox and the Tigers had a duel of pitchers today and, unfortunately, Detroit won. Not the way I expected the teeam to start the ALCS, but there are six games to go and it may turn out to be a long series. Boston can split the the first homestand with a win tomorrow. Let's get some hits!

My Comment: American League East Champions!!! The Boston Red Sox haven't been the division champions since 2007 (and we know what happned that year in October). Not sure I like the slogan "We Own The East" - seems a little over the top. The postseason starts for the Boston Red Sox on Friday 4 October 2013.
