Teams1st2nd3rd4th5th6th7th8th9thRunsHitsErrors

Yankees highlight: Five hits
Yankees lowlight: Six men left on base
Red Sox highlight: One homerun
Red Sox lowlight: One pickoff error

My Comment: Boston finally gets another sweep and very nice that it is against the Yankees. However, one retiring Yankee was honored at Fenway Park tonight - Mariano Rivera - for his outstanding career as a closer. And the Red Sox were gracious enough to give him the night off with their decisive victory over the Yankees. Now Boston's magic number is four.

YANKEES: Starting Pitcher: Ivan Nova; Losing Pitcher: Ivan Nova
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Clay Buchholz; Winning Pitcher: Clay Buchholz (11)
BOSTON: Homerun: Mike Napoli (22)

Red Sox: Wins 92, Losses 59, Percentage: .609

Next game: Tuesday 17 September 2013, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Baltimore Orioles, Fenway Park, Ryan Dempster
