The preliminary schedule for Boston’s 2011 season has been announced and here is a breakdown of the season by month.
April 2011 – Twenty-seven games: Twelve home and fifteen away = 44.44% at home. Playing nine teams. Starting on the road and ending at home. Three days off. Highlight: Home opener on the 8th against the New York Yankees
May 2011 – Thirty games: Eighteen home and twelve away = 60.00% at home. Playing ten teams. Starting at home and ending at home. One day off. Highlight: Interleague play begins on the 20th against the Chicago Cubs at Fenway Park
June 2011 – Twenty-five games: Ten home and fifteen away = 40.00% at home. Playing nine teams. Starting at home and ending on the road. Five days off.
July 2011 – Twenty-six games: Fourteen home and twelve away = 53.85% at home. Playing seven teams. Starting on the road and ending on the road. Five days off. Highlight: Eighty-second All-Star game on the 12th
August 2011 – Twenty-eight games: Fourteen home and fourteen away = 50.00% at home. Playing eight teams. Starting at home and ending at home. Three days off. Highlight: Equal amount of time at home and on the road
September 2011 – Twenty-six games: Thirteen home and thirteen away = 50.00% at home. Playing five teams. Starting at home and ending on the road. Two days off.
