The fifth (and final) game of the 2010 World Series has produced a champion. Although I was not rooting for them, the San Francisco Giants have won the World Series Championship. My condolences to the Texas Rangers - I and other Boston Red Sox fans were supporting you in your first appearance in a World Series. The Boston Red Sox maintain their current position of being the only two-time World Series Champions in the 21st century. The result of the World Series is as follows:
Wednesday 27 October 2010-SF Giants 11, Texas Rangers 7
Thursday 28 October 2010-SF Giants 9, Texas Rangers 0
Saturday 30 October 2010-Texas Rangers 4, SF Giants 2
Sunday 31 October 2010-SF Giants 4, Texas Rangers 0
Monday 1 November 2010-SF Giants 3, Texas Rangers 1
San Francisco beat Texas four game to one out of the seven game series. The Giants scored a total of twenty-nine runs over the five games; while the Rangers scored a total of twelve. The total number of runs scored in the series was forty-one and the Giants had 70.73% of those runs, while the Rangers had 29.27%.
