A winning day for the Boston Red Sox! The day began with an exhibition game against the Northeastern University Huskies at the City of Palms Park. The Sox shut out the Huskies fourteen to zero. The Sox scoring started in the bottom of the first inning with the first two homeruns of Spring Training - a grand slam and a solo - producing five runs. Boston continued to the end result of fourteen runs by chalking up runs in the bottom of the third inning (seven) and the bottom of the fourth inning (two).

The second team the Red Sox hosted in Fort Myers today was the Cincinnati Reds. Boston scored in the bottom of the first four innings - four runs in the first, six runs in the second, two runs in the third, and one run in the fourth. And it was in the top of the fourth inning that Cincinnati scored their first run. They would go on to score in the top of the seventh and eighth - two runs in each inning. The Red Sox scored their final three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. The final score was Boston sixteen and Cincinnati five.
