This past week the American League lost the All-Star game for the first time in thirteen years - no World Series home field advantage this year. And on that day George Steinbrenner forever left the world of baseball. The Boston Red Sox haven't done well against the Texas Rangers, but last night's win was much needed and appreciated. It's Andrew behind the bar, Rich and a new woman at the bar, and of course me in the New England sports living bar. It will be a very quiet morning. Surprise! Nick has come in - first time I've seen him here on a Sunday. He has a new job, a new apartment, and is here to meet a woman. Life is going well for him. Plus while we were talking, the Red Sox scored a run! Only a couple of more people have arrived. A pleasant atmosphere here, but at Fenway Park it's not so pleasant as the Rangers have taken the lead. And have added on to their lead. One last chance for Boston to salvage this game. A homerun for the Red Sox, but not enough for a win. Boston will start a ten-game West coast road trip on a less than positive note. Let's hit the road well!
