My Comment: After an hiatus last season, I have returned to my favorite New England sports living bar. Andrew is there as usual and brought me a diet coke. A little later Rich came in and we caught up. Very quiet in the bar - no one else here watching the game.
The game is underway and after two outs, Pedroia gets a single into left field. Dustin is stranded at first. Now the Tigers are at bat. And not surprisingly, Detroit scores. Prince Fielder gets his 1,000th hit off Clay Buchholz. the Tigers have the bases loaded with two outs. A hit out to center field clears the bases and the Tigers end the first leading 4 to 0. Now there are two more guys in the bar watching the Red Sox.

Mike Aviles gets a double and the Red Sox are on the board with two runs (the number they've had over the last two games). The Red Sox have the bases loaded with two outs. Can they score again? No. Tigers 4, Red Sox 2.
Detroit executes a hit and run and there are men at first and third with no one out. Now there is one out. Another Detroit out, but also another run.
Gonzalez leads off the third with a single. Ortiz get a double and Adrian scores. Now there's an out. A hit and Ortiz scores. Bases loaded and Boston scores. Two outs. A balk is called and another Boston run scores. Jells gets his first hit of the season and the Tigers make a pitching change. Tigers 4, Red Sox 7.

Punto moved over on Jacoby's ground out. Pedroia gets on base and ends up on third, but does not score. Detroit is at bat again. They go down 1, 2, 3.
