Nationals highlight: Relief pitching
Nationals lowlight: Six men left on base
Red Sox highlight: One homerun
Red Sox lowlight: Eight men left on base

My Comment: The Boston Red Sox has the distinction of being the only American League East team to lose today. Not the uniqueness that the team wants. They go back on the road after having a dismal homestand and once again being below .500. Things must get better.

WASHINGTON: Starting Pitcher: Jordan Zimmermann; Winning Pitcher: Tom Gorzelanny
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Jon Lester; Losing Pitcher: Alfredo Aceves (4)
WASHINGTON: Save: Tyler Clippard
BOSTON: Homerun: David Ortiz (14)

Red Sox: Wins 29, Losses 31, Percenage: .483

Next game: Monday 11 June 2012, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Miami Marlins, Marlins Park, Josh Beckett
