Marlins highlight: One homerun
Marlins lowlight: Two men left on base
Red Sox highlight: Three runs in the eighth
Red Sox lowlight: Nine men left on base

My Comment: An encouraging beginning to the homestand for the Boston Red Sox - a three-game sweep of the Miami Marlins. The Marlins were surprisingly consist in their scoring over the three games. Miami scored exactly five runs in each of the games and it was never enough to win. Boston, however, was erratic in their scoring - 7 then 15 and finally 6 over the three games. Whatever works!

MIAMI: Starting Pitcher: Carlos Zambrano; Losing Pitcher: Edward Mujica
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Daisuke Matsuzaka; Winning Pitcher: Scott Atchison (2)
BOSTON: Save: Alfredo Aceves (18)
MIAMI: Homerun: Giancarlo Stanton
BOSTON: Homerun: Will Middlebrooks (8)

Red Sox: Wins 36, Losses 33, Percentage: .522

Next game; Friday 22 June 2012, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Atlanta Braves, Fenway Park, Jon Lester
