Red Sox highlight: Adrian Gonzalez's homerun
Red Sox lowlight: Nine men left on base
Rays highlight: Two runs
Rays lowlight: David Price's pitching
My Comment: The Boston Red Sox end up having an eight and one road trip - fantastic! So much for Joe Madden rearranging his pitchers so that the best ones faced Boston. It may not have been a sweep, but the Red Sox won the series against the Rays. Ending home to Boston, still in first place in the AL East - Sweet!
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Clay Buchholz; Winning Pitcher: Clay Buchholz (6)
TAMPA BAY: Starting Pitcher: David Price; Losing Pitcher: David Price
BOSTON: Save: Jonathan Papelbon (13)
BOSTON: Homerun: Adrian Gonzalez (14)
TAMPA BAY: Homerun: Casey Kotchman
RED SOX: Wins 41, Losses 27, Percentage .603
Next game: Friday 17 June 2011, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Milwaukee Brewers, Fenway Park, John Lackey
