BOSTON: 3 1 2 1 0 1 1 0 0 - 9 14 0
BALTIMORE: 0 0 0 2 0 1 0 0 0 - 3 9 0
Another Sunday in my favorite New England sports living bar and today there are more people here than usual on a Sunday because of the Patriots game. This will be the scenario for the next couple of Sundays. Good to see some familiar faces - Dave, who brought donuts (thanks!), Mishi who brought Jim (her boyfriend) for the first time, and especially Stacie, who brought, as always, her upbeat self for all to experience. The day may have been a loss for the Patriots, but it was a definite win for the Red Sox! The Boston Red Sox swept the Baltimore Orioles in their last meeting of the 2009 season. Another hitting and scoring fest in Oriole Park. Boston got to the Baltimore starter after three innings, but Matsuzaka lasted into the sixth. It is so long to the Orioles until next year when Boston will welcome them to Fenway Park for a three-game series from the 23rd through the 25th of April. At that time, Boston will take up where they left off today. As the Red Sox leave to go to Kansas City for a four-game series with the Royals, the team maintains the lead in the AL Wild Card and gains a game on the New York Yankees. Is an interesting and familiar scenario developing between Boston and New York where there is a reversal of positions? Let's hope!!
