Nick Green is a right-handed batting and throwing shortstop. He is a shortstop for the Boston Red Sox. Nick made his Major League debut with the Atlanta Braves on Saturday 15 May 2004 when he was twenty-five years, eight months, and five days old. The Braves played the Milwaukee Brewers that day in Milwaukee and Nick replaced the second baseman. Nick signed with the Boston Red Sox in January 2009. Although an infielder, Nick made his Major League pitching debut with the Boston Red Sox on Thursday 27 August 2009 when he was thirty years, eleven months, and seventeen days old. The Red Sox played the Chicago White Sox that day in Fenway Park and Nick came in as a relief pitcher in the eighth and ninth innings and had two scoreless innings in the nine to five defeat. Nick wears number twenty-two.
