In this game, the only homers were Boston Red Sox ones. In fact, the only runs were Red Sox ones. Finally a win! Not only a win, but a shutout of the Baltimore Orioles. An excellent way to welcome Spring in City of Palms Park. This was the ideal combination of good pitching and good hitting on the part of the Red Sox. A much better outing for Wakefield than his previous one - the knuckle baller has returned! Don't know if Rich (a fellow patron of my favorite sports living bar) is still in Florida, but if so, I hope he was able to see this game - so much better than Wednesday's! Split squads tomorrow, one away and one at home, and both at the same starting time - let's have the two games experience the same result as today. It's time to start a new winning streak.
