Minnesota Minces Boston

BOSTON: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 1 - 2 8 1
MINNESOTA: 1 5 1 0 0 0 0 0 x - 7 8 0

Well, in a different scenario today from several recent games, the Boston Red Sox's winning opponent scored a large number of runs early in the contest. Today it was the Minnesota Twins in their home park, Hammond Stadium, who pulled off that feat. So this time, it was the Boston starting pitching that was the culprit. Good to share the pain. The Red Sox matched the Twins in the number of hits, but were only able to convert them to two runs. And it was a homerless day for all. Boston is still on the road tomorrow. At this point in time it makes no difference if Boston is at home or away - the conclusion is the same and it's not a good one.
