Red Sox highlight: John Lackey's pitching
Red Sox lowlight: Hideki Okajima's relief pitching
Athletics highlight: Four runs in the eighth
Athletics lowlight: Brett Anderson's throwing error
My Comment: Bad officiating by Home Plate Umpire Jim Reynolds in the second and in the eighth blocked come backs by the Red Sox. Hope Jim Reynolds has a replay session of those calls and realizes his mistakes. As a rule, do Umpires watch games afterwards, especially when there have been protested calls that have led to ejections? Perhaps more situations should be up for review as are disputed homeruns.
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: John Lackey; Losing Pitcher: John Lackey (2)
OAKLAND: Starting Pitcher: Brett Anderson; Winning Pitcher: Brett Anderson
RED SOX: Wins 5, Losses 11, Percentage .313
Next game: Wednesday 20 April 2011, 12:35 p.m.PT/3:35 p.m.ET, Oakland Athletics, Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, Clay Buchholz
