Red Sox highlight: Jon Lester's pitching
Red Sox lowlight: Relief pitching and catching in the seventh and eighth
Angels highlight: Avoiding a shutout and almost coming back
Angels lowlight: Peter Bourjor's and Vernon Wells' fielding errors
My Comment: Boston came close to a loss after leading at the end of the seventh. Losing when leading at the end of the seventh was done eight times last season and cost them the AL East Championship. Perhaps they can avoid that statistic this season.
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Jon Lester; Winning Pitcher: Jon Lester (2)
LA ANGELS: Starting Pitcher: Dan Haren; Losing Pitcher: Dan Haren
BOSTON: Save: Jonathan Papelbon (5)
RED SOX: Wins 8, Losses 11, Percentage .421
Next game: Saturday 23 April 2011, 6:05 p.m.PT/9:05 p.m.ET, Los Angeles Angels, Angel Stadium, Daisuke Matsuzaka
