Teams | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | 5th | 6th | 7th | 8th | 9th | Runs | Hits | Errors |
Mariners | 2 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 5 | 7 | 0 |
Red Sox | 0 | 1 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 4 | 8 | 2 |
Mariners highlight: Relief pitching
Mariners lowlight: Nine men left on base
Red Sox highlight: Mike Cameron's two homeruns
Red Sox lowlight: Daisuke Matsuzaka leaving game due to injury
My Comment: The two Red Sox errors (first ones by Boston in eight games) were costly ones and changed the outcome of the game. Basic skills such as fielding and catching need to be perfect or adverse results can occur.
SEATTLE: Starting Pitcher: Jason Vargas; Winning Pitcher: Jason Vargas
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Diasuke Matsuzaka; Losing Pitcher: Bobby Jenks (2)
SEATTLE: Save: Brandon League
BOSTON: Homeruns: Mile Cameron (1, 2)
RED SOX: Wins 11, Losses 14, Percentage .440
Next game: Saturday 30 April 2011, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Seattle Mariners, Fenway Park, John Lackey
