My Comment: Starting off with some sad news - Dick Williams, who managed the 1967 "Impossible Dream" Boston Red Sox team, died today at the age of 82. That Red Sox squad brought an excitement to Boston fans that still reverberates today. Thank you Dick Williams! It was long ball night at Fenway Park as the Red Sox hit six of them for the most blasts so far this season. And there was even a back-to-back-to-back homerun sequences in the seventh inning. Great show guys! But the best part of day is that the Red Sox are back in first place in the AL East all by themselves. Yeah!
BALTIMORE: Starting Pitcher: Jake Arrieta; Losing Pitcher: Jake Arrieta
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Andrew Miller; Winning Pitcher: Andrew Miller (3)
BOSTON: Homeruns: Dustin Pedroia (9), Adrian Gonzalez (17), Jacoby Ellsbury (11), David Ortiz (18), Josh Reddick (2), Jarrod Saltalamacchia (6)
RED SOX: Wins 52, Losses 35, Percentage .598
Next Game: Friday 8 July 2011, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Baltimore Orioles, Fenway Park, Josh Beckett
