Royals highlight: Two homeruns
Royals lowlight: Two errors
Red Sox highlight: Everyone got on base
Red Sox lowlight: Fifteen men left on base

My Comment: Such a different game from yesterday's low-scoring, pitcher's duel of a contest. The Red Sox remembered how to hit and did so mightily! Actually both teams were hitting machines today. Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz deserve special mention - Dustin with his almost hit for the cycle and David with five RBIs. Great! And on the team level, not only is Boston still leading in the AL East, the team has the best record in all of the American League. Way to go Red Sox!

KANSAS: Starting Pitcher: Danny Duffy; Losing Pitcher: Nathan Adcock
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Andrew Miller; Winning Pitcher: Alfredo Aceves (6)
KANSAS: Homeruns: Alex Gordon, Bill Butler
BOSTON: Homerun: Jason Varitek (6)

RED SOX: Wins 63, Losses 38, Percentage .624

Next Game: Wednesday 27 July 2011, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Kansas City Royals, Fenway Park, John Lackey
