Mariners highlight: Brendan Ryan's grand slam
Mariners lowlight: Brendan Ryan's missed catch
Red Sox highlight: Two five-run innings
Red Sox lowlight: Seven men left on base

My Comment: Congrats to Tim Wakefield for getting his two thousandth strikeout with the Boston Red Sox! One more win and Tim will have two hundred with Boston. The Red Sox handed the Mariners their fifteenth consecutive loss, which is the longest in that franchise's history. I hope Seattle ends their losing streak on the first game of their next series. And who are the Mariners playing? The Yankees.

SEATTLE: Starting Pitcher: Michael Pineda; Losing Pitcher: Michael Pineda
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Tim Wakefield; Winning Pitcher: Tim Wakefield (6)
SEATTLE: Homeruns: Miguel Olivo, Brendan Ryan (grand slam)
BOSTON: Homerun: Kevin Youkilis (14)

RED SOX: Wins 62, Losses 37, Percentage .626

Next Game: Monday 25 July 2011, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Kansas City Royals, Fenway Park, Jon Lester
