My Comment: My computer is still functioning only because I was at work during the game and did not hear the absolute meltdown of the ninth inning. In Fenway Park's first non-sellout game in almost ten years, Boston suffered its first (and hopefully, last) humiliating loss - keyword "humiliating"; committed its first errors; and waited through its first rain delay of the 2013 season. Not at all a good baseball day for the Red Sox. The only positive from this defeat at the bats of the Baltimore Orioles is that Boston is still in first place in the American League East. The Red Sox will attempt to win the series tomorrow behind the pitching of Alfredo Aceves. I will be able to listen to the game tomorrow - let's all hope my computer is intact at the end of it.
BALTIMORE: Starting Pitcher: Jake Arrieta; Winning Pitcher: Darren O'Day
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Ryan Dempster; Losing Pitcher: Joel Hanrahan (1)
BALTIMORE: Save: Jim Johnson
BALTIMORE: Homeruns: Nick Markakis, Chris Davis, Manny Machado
BOSTON: Homeruns: Daniel Nava (3), Jarrod Saltalamacchia (1)
Red Sox: Wins 5, Losses 3, Percentage: .625
Next game: Thursday 11 April 2013, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Baltimore Orioles, Fenway Park, Alfredo Aceves
