My Comment: Rain delay at the end of the seventh inning in the game between the Red Sox and the Athletics came too late as far as Boston is concerned. Too bad the game hadn't simply been postponed before it even began. Definitely the worse loss for the team this season and one in which they were shutout. Why Aceves is being allowed to start when he was not consistently effective as a closer, does not make sense to me. Problems with fielding, balking and walking all in one inning is just the equation for disaster. Let's hope that Lester can keep his game together tomorrow and the Red Sox can salvage a series win.

OAKLAND: Starting Pitcher: Bartolo Colon; Winning Pitcher: Bartolo Colon
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Alfredo Aceves; Losing Pitcher: Alfredo Aceves (1)
OAKLAND: Homerun: Seth Smith

Red Sox: Wins 13, Losses 7, Percentage: .650

Next game: Wednesday 24 April 2013, 1:05 p.m.PT/4:05p.m.ET, Oakland Athletics, Fenway Park, Jon Lester
