Blue Jays0100201004123

Red Sox highlight: Two homeruns
Red Sox lowlight: Fifteen men left on base
Blue Jays highlight: Two homeruns
Blue Jays lowlight: Two fielding errors and one throwing error

My Comment: Though his welcome back to Toronto by Blue Jays fans can not be described as joyous, at least John Farrell found pleasure in the win against his old team to start the three-game series. The long ball finally happened for Boston, including a ninth inning insurance blast by Middlebrooks. Boston lead or tied, but was never behind and had double digit hits. Onto another series win!

BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Felix Doubront; Winning Pitcher: Junichi Tazawa (1)
TORONTO: Starting Pitcher: Josh Johnson; Losing Pitcher: Esmil Rogers
BOSTON: Save: Joel Hanrahan (2)
BOSTON: Homeruns: Mike Napoli (1), Will Middlebrooks (1)
TORONTO: Homeruns: Mark DeRosa, Jose Reyes

Red Sox: Wins 3, Losses 1, Percentage: .750

Next game: Saturday 6 April 2013, 10:07 a.m.PT/1:07 p.m.ET, Toronto Blue Jays, Rogers Centre, John Lackey
