Red Sox highlight: Three homeruns by Will Middlebrooks
Red Sox lowlight: Six men left on base
Blue Jays highlight: Seven hits
Blue Jays lowlight: No runs

My Comment: Love the hitting and homerun game the Red Sox demonstrated today! And the shutout payback was just a extra bonus in a suberb Boston win. Great combination of power and pitching that sends the Red Sox to Fenway with a winning road record to start the season for the first time in two years. Wish I was on the plane with the team on their way back to Boston - lots of happy people on that flight! Tomorrow is Boston's home opener and coming off a win like today is a wonderful emotional state to play the game against the Baltimore Orioles. Over this Toronto series, Boston averaged 6.33 runs and 9.66 hits per game. And, by the way, the Red Sox are in first place all alone. Yeah!!

BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Jon Lester; Winning Pitcher: Jon Lester (2)
TORONTO: Starting Pitcher: R. A. Dickey; Losing Pitcher: R. A. Dickey
BOSTON: Homeruns: Will Middlebrooks (2,3,4), Daniel Nava (1), Jacoby Ellsbury (1), Mike Napoli (2)

Red Sox: Wins 4, Losses 2, Percentage: .667

Next game: Monday 8 April 2013, 11:05 a.m.PT/2:05 p.m.ET, Baltimore Orioles, Fenway Park, Clay Buchholz
