Once again the Boston Red Sox prepare to do baseball battle with the New York Yankees. Tomorrow the traditional rival invades Fenway Park for the first of three times during this 2009 season (also June and August). In addition to both teams entering the three-game series with identical win-loss records (nine and six), tying them for second place in the AL East; they have also scored an identical number of runs - eighty-four. However, the Yankees have had approximately fifty-four percent more runs scored against them then have the Red Sox. The key to the series may come down to the pitching. And while Boston heads into this series with a seven-game winning streak, New York only has a three-game winning streak coming into Fenway Park. Boston has a more than two times longer winning streak than New York. No doubt there will be some controversy, incredible plays, and intense emotions during the series. All in all, the usual occurrences one comes to expect when the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees meet on the field of baseball. Win Red Sox, win!
