Boston Downs Detroit, 6 to 3

BOSTON: 0 0 6 0 0 0 0 0 0 - 6 6 0
DETROIT: 0 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 - 3 10 0

The Boston Red Sox end their road trip with a sweep of the Detroit Tigers. Although the Red Sox did not have as many hits today as in the previous two games, the runs scored were enough for the third game win. And it was another good outing for the Boston pitching staff. Best of all - no errors! Boston leaves Comerica Park and heads to Fenway Park for a six-game homestand against the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees. They remain tied for first in the American League East. For the time being it will be a neck-and-neck race to lead the East. Making it more interesting and nerve-wracking.
