Florida Fells Boston

FLORIDA: 0 2 0 0 0 - 2 8 1
BOSTON: 1 0 0 0 0 - 1 1 0

Rain was the downfall for the Boston Red Sox not sweeping the Florida Marlins in tonight's weather-shortened game. All the runs scored in Fenway Park were longballs and the Marlins had one more of them than the Red Sox. However, there is some sunshine for Boston. They did win the three-game series, still have the best record in the American League and have a three game lead over the New York Yankees in the AL East. The Yankees were beaten twice in their three-game series against the Washington Nationals (who have the worst record in the Major Leagues). Yes, despite the prevailing weather, the sun does reign for Boston.
