Red Sox Nick Nationals, 6 to 4

BOSTON: 0 0 0 3 1 2 0 0 0 - 6 7 0
WASHINGTON: 0 1 0 0 0 2 1 0 0 - 4 8 0

Another game win, another series win for the Boston Red Sox. A much quieter game for Boston against the Washington Nationals than yesterday's slugfest, though with the same outcome. Ortiz's three-run homer (his first homerun outside of Fenway Park this season) put him over one thousand RBIs. Congrats! And Lester had a good outing and this win evens his record. Tomorrow a record begins with the Red Sox debut of starting pitcher John Smoltz in Nationals Park. He has replaced Matsuzaka in the rotation while Dice-K is on the disabled list. Looking forward to Smoltz and a sweep.
