The party's over. Yes, another Sunday at the New England sports living bar, but no celebration to be had. Mike had a late start today, but fortunately, the cook was able to let me and the other Sunday morning regular, Rich, into the building in time to see the start of the game and Michael Young's homerun. Not a good sign. And as it turned out, the Boston Red Sox were not able to win the rubber game and thus the series against the Texas Rangers. Well I suppose there was some celebrating in Fenway Park, just not by the Red Sox. Maybe the starting rotation could use some new life, in the form of John Smoltz. Should be seeing that happen sometime this month. After the game, I went and reduced my sorrow by attending a wine festival. It's wonderful how red wine is able to put the Red Sox in perspective. On Tuesday, Boston has the chance to continue their winning streak against the New York Yankees. Now Boston is second in the AL East. Thought I'd mention that as well.
