Red Sox highlight: Jacoby Ellsbury's homerun
Red Sox lowlight: Seven men left on base
Tigers highlight: Five hits
Tigers lowlight: Scott Sizemore's fielding error

My Comment: Question of the day is - Why did the officials decided to call a rain delay in the middle of the eighth inning with Boston in a commanding lead instead of just calling it an official game? It took fifty-five minutes to decide to call the game - a decision that should have been immediate. Even though it was a rain-shortened game, all the starters hit. Another fun day for Boston!

BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Alfredo Aceves; Winning Pitcher: Alfredo Aceves (2)
DETROIT: Starting Pitcher: Max Scherzer; Losing Pitcher: Max Scherzer
