Tigers highlight: Phil Coke's pitching
Tigers lowlight: Seven men left on base
Red Sox highlight: Jarrod Saltamacchia's RBI double in the eighth inning
Red Sox lowlight: Four hits

My Comment: Victor Martinez returned to Fenway for the first time since leaving the Red Sox and attempted to rally the Tigers with a double in the ninth. Guess he knows how to hit off of Papelbon. Though no comeback for Detroit, it was a nice come back for Victor. There was a rain delay in the game at the top of the eighth, but it only lasted twenty-six minutes. Still more rain in the forecast. Wonder if it will end up being the second one game series of the week. How often has that happened? Congrats to Daniel Bard for getting his first win of the season!

DETROIT: Starting Pitcher: Phil Coke; Losing Pitcher: Daniel Schlereth
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Clay Buchholz; Winning Pitcher: Daniel Bard (1)
BOSTON; Save: Jonathan Papelbon (8)

RED SOX: Wins 22, Losses 20, Percentage .524

Next game: Thursday 19 May 2011, 4:10 p.m.PT/7:10 p.m.ET, Detroit Tigers, Fenway Park, Josh Beckett
