Angels highlight: Vernon Wells' homerun
Angels lowlight: Fernando Rey's and Hank Conger's throwing errors
Red Sox highlight: Two runs in the bottom of the ninth
Red Sox lowlight: Twelve men left on base
My Comment: Misplayed baserunning cost the Red Sox the game and the chance to finally be at .500 this season. That milestone will have to wait to the next series. Runners need to be more aware of where the ball is and who's throwing it. Boston should have won this game in the ninth.
LA ANGELS: Starting Pitcher: Ervin Santana; Winning Pitcher: Trevor Bell
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Josh Beckett; Losing Pitcher: Daisuke Matsuzaka (3)
LA ANGELS: Homerun: Vernon Wells
RED SOX: Wins 14, Losses 16, Percentage .467
Next game: Thursday 5 May 2011, 10:35 a.m.PT/1:35 p.m.ET, Los Angeles Angels, Fenway Park, John Lackey
