My Comment: Even though the Boston Red Sox end the month of May with a loss, it has been a merry month for them. They've managed to have a winning record and to climb to first place in the AL East. On an individual level, Adrian Gonzalez leads the AL in RBIs and Jacoby Ellsbury leads the AL in stolen bases, David Ortiz has a dozen homers, and Carl Crawford has been named AL Player of the Week. So a special congrats to Carl and thanks for the walk-off wins! Here's hoping June is an even better month for the Red Sox.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX: Starting Pitcher: Philip Humber; Winning Pitcher: Philip Humber
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Alfredo Aceves; Losing Pitcher: Alfredo Aceves (1)
CHICAGO WHITE SOX: Save: Chris Sale
BOSTON: Homeruns: Jason Varitek (2), David Ortiz (12)

RED SOX: Wins 30, Losses 25, Percentage .545

Next game: Wednesday 1 June 2011, 10:35 a.m.PT/1:35 p.m.ET, Chicago White Sox, Fenway Park, Tim Wakefield
