Twins highlight: Ten hits
Twins lowlight: Ten men left on base
Red Sox highlight: Josh Beckett's pitching
Red Sox lowlight: Balk called on Alfredo Aceves in the eighth

My Comment: Jacoby Ellsbury now has the longest active hitting streak in the MLB with hitting safely in eighteen games. Jacoby has come into his own at the leadoff spot and is doing well stealing bases. It's great that the Red Sox end their longest homestand of the season on a win. The only regret is that Beckett didn't get the win - he was wonderful on the mound. The team has great energy to begin their road trip.

MINNESOTA: Starting Pitcher: Nick Blackburn; Losing Pitcher: Jim Hoey
BOSTON: Starting Pitcher: Josh Beckett; Winning Pitcher: Hideki Okajima (1)

RED SOX: Wins 17, Losses 18, Percentage .486

Next game: Tuesday 10 May 2011, 4:07 p.m.PT/7:07 p.m.ET, Toronto Blue Jays, Roger Centre, Jon Lester
