Red Sox Walkoff White Sox, 3 to 2

CHI. WHITE SOX: 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 - 2 7 0
BOSTON: 0 1 0 0 0 1 0 0 1 - 3 7 1

Welcome back Tim Wakefield! Tim had a very good return, but unfortunately the Boston Red Sox starting pitcher did not receive the win due to the eighth inning pinch hit homerun given up by reliever Ramon Ramirez that tied the game. With such a small lead, I still advocate leaving the starting pitcher in the game to prevent exactly what occurred. Do not present the Chicago White Sox with someone they can hit - plain and simple. In any case, the Red Sox did win their third game in a row on David Ortiz's tenth career walkoff homerun! Boston goes for the series sweep tomorrow in Fenway Park.
