Red Sox Whip White Sox, 12 to 8

CHI. WHITE SOX: 0 2 2 0 3 0 0 1 0 - 8 8 2
BOSTON: 0 1 6 2 0 0 3 0 x - 12 13 1

The Boston Red Sox welcomed the Chicago White Sox to Fenway Park for the first time this season and promptly beat up their guests. Yes, Boston was hitting and scoring against Chicago and a White Sox error gave the Red Sox the opportunity to have a six-run third inning with two outs. And perhaps this is the start of another Boston multi-homerun streak. The hitting on both teams was such that both pitchers left early, though Contreras was run from the game before Buchholz. A good beginning to this four-game series. In the AL Wild Card race, the Red Sox maintain their first place position.
