Red Sox Past Phillies, 8 to 3

BOSTON: 0 1 0 2 0 4 0 0 1 - 8 10 0
PHILADELPHIA: 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 3 - 3 8 2

It's Sunday and I and the other regular Rich are the only patrons in my favorite New England sports living bar along with our usual bartender Andrew. Andrew said his mother is in town and that he'll be taking the week off and head up to San Francisco with her for a visit. They should have a good time. It has been a decent week for the Red Sox - a complete game by Jon Lester, a one-hitter by Daisuke Matsuzaka, and the team is above .500. Josh Beckett is on the DL, but Jacoby Ellsbury is back and playing centerfield - yeah! The Boston Red Sox score first against the Philadelphia Phillies. Bases-loaded in the fourth with one out for Boston. Score two more runs! Still Rich and I are the only bar clients - nice. Well, I wrote a bit too soon - four more people arrived in the bar. Red Sox doing very well in Citizens Bank Park today in this third and final game of the series. Bases-loaded in the ninth with one out for Boston. One more run. And the Red Sox win this series against the Phillies. A good start to this road trip. Now on to the Rays!
