Red Sox Amaze Angels, 5 to 1

LA ANGELS: 0 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 - 1 5 1
BOSTON: 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 4 x - 5 11 0

As expected, no homeruns today for the Boston Red Sox, less hits, less runs, but thankfully, less errors. However, it was a good night in Fenway Park for Boston as they took the second game of the four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels. Glad that Terry let Lester pitch through the eighth inning so that the only other pitcher the Angels saw was Papelbon. The Red Sox took advantage of the fact that the Angels pulled their starter after the seventh and they saw two relief pitchers. In a low-run, tie game going into the late innings, it is best to keep the starter in as long as possible - don't want to bring in someone the other team can hit. And I am especially happy that there were no Red Sox errors today - great leaping play by Scutaro. Let's do it again tomorrow!
