City of Palms Park was the setting for the last Spring Training game between the Baltimore Orioles and the Boston Red Sox. With this fourth game between the American League East rivals, the Orioles completed their sweep of the Red Sox in preseason play. Baltimore began the scoring with a run in the top of the fourth inning and Boston scored their only runs (two) in the bottom of the fourth (which was their only lead in the game). In the top of the fifth inning, the Orioles scored another run (which tied up the game). They would go on to put across one run in the top of the eighth and three runs in the top of the ninth. The Baltimore Orioles beat the Boston Red Sox by a score of six to two.

Kevin Youkilis is a right-handed batting and throwing infielder who primarily plays first base for the Boston Red Sox. However, he began his career with Boston by covering third base. Kevin made his Major League Baseball debut with the team on Saturday 15 May 2004 when he was twenty-five years and two months old. His first major league hit was a homerun (the seventh player in Red Sox history to do so). Kevin has been honored by being named the club's Rookie of the Year for 2004, by winning the Gold Glove for first base in 2007, and by being selected to the All-Star team in 2008. He has World Series rings for the 2004 and 2007 Boston Red Sox Championships. Kevin wears number twenty.
