Red Sox Rock Rays

The Tampa Bay Rays traveled to Fort Myers and were hosted by the Boston Red Sox in the City of Palms Park for the third game of this preseason between these two clubs. This was a different game from the previous two outings - different venue, different run differential (six instead of eight), and most importantly, different winner! Boston scored runs in the bottom half of the first three innings - one in the first, two in the second, and four in the third. Tampa Bay did not score a run until the top of the sixth inning. The final run for the Red Sox came in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Rays scored their final run in the top of the eighth. The Red Sox won the game eight to two over the Rays.
