Team Puerto Rico arrived in Fort Myers to play an exhibition game with the Boston Red Sox. With a single run in the bottom of the first inning, Boston started the scoring. That run was answered by Puerto Rico in the top of the second inning. Puerto Rico took the lead in the top of the fourth by putting across three runs. In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Red Sox added another run. Both teams scored in the sixth inning - one run for Puerto Rico in the top and three runs for the Sox in the bottom. The game was tied five to five. Puerto Rico took the lead for good with four runs in the top of the seventh inning. The final score was Team Puerto Rico nine and the Boston Red Sox five.
