Cincinnati Squeaks By Boston

In Fort Myers' City of Palms Park, the Boston Red Sox ended their first week of Spring Training with a loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Scoring began in the top of the fourth inning when the Reds scored four runs. In the bottom of the fourth the Sox came back with two runs. The next time runs came across the plate was in the top of the seventh inning, when Cincinnati did their last scoring of the day with five runs. Boston scored three runs in the bottom of both the seventh and eighth innings - their last runs for the day. The Cincinnati Reds won the game by a score of nine to eight.
