One year, eleven months, and one day later the Boston Red Sox repeated the homerun feat that happened on Sunday 22 April 2007. In that regular season game, Boston hit four consecutive home runs in the bottom of the third inning against the New York Yankees in Fenway Park - the first time that occurred in Red Sox history. In the bottom of the sixth inning today, the Red Sox hit four homeruns in a row against the Detroit Tigers in a Spring Training game in the City of Palms Park. Mike Lowell contributed homeruns in both feats. As in the 2007 game, the Red Sox went on to win by a score of seven to six.
