Red Sox Rub Rays, 4 to 3

TAMPA BAY: 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 0 0 - 3 7 0
BOSTON: 0 1 0 2 0 0 0 1 x - 4 9 2

It was close, but the Boston Red Sox take the third game against the Tampa Bay Rays and win this series two games to one game. Fortunately Boston has some breathing room from Tampa Bay, who they don't meet again until August. The Green Monster in Fenway Park made the difference in the game with two doubles in a row off the wall in the eighth inning by David Ortiz and Jason Bay, with Ortiz scoring the winning run. The Red Sox leave for the West Coast and three-game series with the Los Angeles Angels and the Seattle Mariners.
