Red Sox Thwart Twins, 6 to 5

BOSTON: 0 0 3 2 0 0 0 1 0 - 6 16 1
MINNESOTA: 0 1 0 0 0 2 0 0 2 - 5 8 0

The Minnesota Twins produced two homeruns in this first of a four-game series against the Boston Red Sox. But it was Boston's one homerun that made the difference and the eventual victory for the Red Sox. Even though Jonathan Papelbon gave up his second homerun in a row in two save attempts, the resulting Twins longball did not cost Papelbon a save or Boston a win. This was Boston's first visit to the Metrodome this season and it was a good start to the series and to the road trip.
