Boston Barrages Toronto, 8 to 2

BOSTON: 1 0 0 3 1 0 0 3 0 - 8 11 0
TORONTO: 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 0 - 2 5 0

It's Sunday and I watched the Boston Red Sox win the final game of this three-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays in my favorite New England sports living bar. Andrew is in Italy on vacation, so today Mike opened the bar. In the background, during the pregame and the first few innings, Mike played Beatles music. He called it having "Breakfast with the Beatles". It was a positive mixture of baseball sounds and Beatles songs. And the Red Sox did not miss a beat with their four longballs, Lester's personal record setting twelve strikeouts, and their eight (barrier breaking) runs. Although the Beatles songs may not have been playing on shuffle mode, Terry Francona used that method in the lineup today - Pedroia, Drew, Youkilis, Bay, Lowell, Ortiz, Varitek, Ellsbury, Green. Everyone got on base and eight of the players had hits - a significantly higher percentage than yesterday. Boston leaves the confines of the Rogers Centre on a winning note and continues on the "Long And Winding Road" to Detroit. Beatles and Boston!
