Red Sox Rest Blue Jays, 2 to 1

About the only things similar to yesterday's game, besides the participants (Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays) and locale (Rogers Centre), was the winning team and a one run difference in the score. There were fewer hits, fewer runs, and yes, even an error in today's game than there were in yesterday's endurance test. Buchholz stepped up to the challenge and only gave up one run over eight innings and someone other than Papelbon received a save. Since he was pitching so well, I hoped that Clay would have the first complete game of the season for Boston, but they are so rare for the Red Sox, which is a shame. I am a believer in complete games and I wish Terry believed in them as well. Today was the perfect opportunity for one. Anyway, Boston is now tied with Toronto for third place in the AL East. One interesting observation, the teams with the best and worst records in the Major League are in the AL East (Tampa Bay and Baltimore). No surprise that the best record would be in the AL East, but to have the worst record as well - totally unexpected.
